Job Title: CAE Analyst Job Type: Contract (48 weeks, 40 hours per week) Hourly Rate: Up to £30 per hour Location: Whitley Consultant: Alex Townsend Reference: 28952 The Organisation: The client is the largest automotive manufacturing business in the United Kingdom which produces premium all-terrain vehicles and premier luxury sports saloon vehicles. All the cars are engineered in the UK and the client has large ambitions for growth. The Role: "This vacancy is for a turbo NVH Subject Matter Expert (SME). The SME will provide strong technical leadership to ensure avoidance of all turbo NVH error states. The role will therefore cover balance whine, whoosh, pulsation whine, blade passing frequency noise, lift off surge etc. The successful candidate will be required to utilise test and CAE techniques to avoid turbo NVH issues across all platforms. Whilst this role is located within the Base Engine NVH department, the successful candidate will be required to work closely with Powertrain NVH and Vehicle NVH to develop system level strategies to avoid turbo NVH issues in vehicle. As a result regular travel to Gaydon will be required. The aim of this role is to ensure that best practices and lessons learnt from current programmes are incorporated across all future programmes and that the correct components are included in the system to deal with all error states. "

Experience And Skills

Skills Required: "Good analytical and presentation skills. Ability to write technical specifications/procedures for controlling turbo NVH Ability to organise and track CAE capability projects to improve the modelling and resolution of turbo NVH error states" Experience Required: "Good analytical and presentation skills. Ability to write technical specifications/procedures for controlling turbo NVH Ability to organise and track CAE capability projects to improve the modelling and resolution of turbo NVH error states" Experience Preferred: "Experience of LMS Testlab desirable Knowledge of alternative boosting systems and the NVH error states associated with them Experience of cascading requirements to suppliers and working with them to ensure that engineering specifications are met" Education Required: Degree / Diploma, in Engineering/Automotive/Acoustics.
