The client is the largest automotive manufacturing business in the United Kingdom which produces premium all-terrain vehicles and premier luxury sports saloon vehicles. All the cars are engineered in the UK and the client has large ambitions for growth.
1/2 Project Coordination: Programme Direction Letter (PDLs) are used in JLR to communicate new programmes to the business and request resource requirements to deliver the described project. They form the basis for all programmes and for example create the authority to start the work on a programme or to load the Bil of Material into the required tracking and ordering systems. PDLs are required for all Vehicle programmes as well as Base Engine programmes. Compilation of Base Engine PDLs are owned by our department. The role we are looking for involves: - Coordination of all project requests (via PDLs) for Engine and Vehicle Application programmes for the whole Base Engine Department - Coordination of resource inputs to all project requests via collation of Programme Approval Submission (PAS) documents. - Support collation of Engine PDLs and PAS sheets to ensure consistent approach and content - Work closely with the Base Engine departmental senior managers and programme managers to capture the resource requirements for the projects being worked on or proposed to be worked on 1/2 Programme Timing Support: The Base Engines team owns a centralised Programme Timing function. It is responsible to create Engine Programme Plan templates, cross-programme timing plans and the creation of timing metrics. It is the point of entry for all timing related topics and identifies and supports the resolution of timing clashes for all engine programmes. The role we are looking for involves: - Collation of timing updates for all Engine Programme Plans and maintenance of a cross-programme plan - Support to generate timing metrics and phase plans (e.g. detailed look aheads) - Support the Engine PDCS development and roll out plan including developing process flow charts to document the activities (e.g. change control process) - Maintenance of Base Engine Google website ensuring all latest plans and documents are available
