The client is the largest automotive manufacturing business in the United Kingdom which produces premium all-terrain vehicles and premier luxury sports saloon vehicles. All the cars are engineered in the UK and the client has large ambitions for growth.
This role is to support the AJ200 Base Engine Programme Management team in the day to day delivery of the AJ200 programme by taking responsibility for external facing management activities. Activities may include, but will not be limited to:- Acting as the AJ200 engine rpogramme representative in vehicle programme meetings. e.g. Powertrain Steering Team meetings, Vehicle build planning meetings, AIMS review meetings, Powertrain Module Team meetings. Cascade vehicle programme requirements to the AJ200 D&R team, and collate inputs and responses to feed back to the vehicle teams in a timely manner. Liaising with the relevant D&R engineers to obtain regular status updates on vehicle AIMs issues. Acting as the first port of call for prototype vehicle build teams regarding all issues on prototype engine supply and issue resolution. Working with the Vehicle Team PL's to identify and confirm prototype engine quantities for future build phases in a timely manner
Experience And Skills
This is a key support role with much to be delivered under tight time, resource and financial constraints. Key to delivery will be a flexible, ""can do"" attitude and the right balance between the ability to work independently and get the job done and the required honesty to speak up when unsure and seek guidance. As such:- Basic project management skills are essential, as are good communication and presentation skills. High competence in PC desktop appliactions e.g. excel, Powerpoint etc. High levels of personal organisation and motivation skills are also essential. Happy to use own initiative to tackle problems and flexible in your approach to achieve the best programme results.
Good understanding of the product delivery process ideally including knowledge of the JLR PCS system. A good general knowledge of engine systems and components would be advantageous. Familiarity with key JLR PD IT systems ( AIMS, GPIRS, WERS) will also be beneficial.
Some experience of project management is essential. A proven track record in communicating with customers and suppliers in a professional manner; able to negotiate satisfactiory solutions to problems/issues. Experience of manageing data and information. Analysing data and drawing appropriate conclusions. (Primarily Excel based).
Previous experience of problem solving and quality tools would be beneficial. ¿ Previous experience of engine development & testing. ¿ Service / dealer /supplier or relevant experience would also be desirable

£25.19 Per Hour Limited Company Rates Negotiable
Education / Level
Preferably educated to degree level. Other higher educational qualifications will be considered depending on other skills and experience offered.
