Powertrain Project Leader (DR040)
Reporting to the Jaguar and Land Rover Hybrid Powertrain Programme Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for an array of vehicle programs with Hybrid content. The Powertrain Project Leader will be responsible for ensuring that allocated projects are supported with appropriate skills and resources and all gateway requirements are met, and to do so, will have to work closely with other CoC's to insure a robust information exchange happens. Specific tasks will include, but not exclusive to; ¿ Running Project and Programme meetings (chairman, agenda preparation and issuing of minutes) ¿ Coordinating the Powertrain team to deliver against project/program requirements ¿ Support the inputs to Product Development Letter responses, PAS sheet creation, working with Powertrain Business Planning to ensure departmental resources are aligned to PD Budgets ¿ Responsible for management of investment and material costs via PPFeas, REDBOOK and PAS sheet process ¿ Business planning to ensure departmental resources are aligned to PD Budgets. ¿ Responsible for management of all PCDS deliverables, evidence to satisfy deliverable, identification of peer reviews, demonstration strategies to generate technical evidence and gateway submissions. ¿ Ensuring lessons learnt are captured to be implemented in future Programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all approved projects and programs are supported with appropriate skills, resources and all gateway requirements and deliverables are met, reporting this out in Programme Central and XPT Tracker for post PS programs. The successful candidate will also be reporting the project status at forums within the Powertrain team and to external departments with Senior management present (CPE/CFE reviews, PST, VIT, PC&D Tech Issues)
Experience And Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver with minimum supervision Able to lead the resolution of technical issues and development of technology, in the team environment and interface directly to the attribute teams, component areas, manufacturing and marketing, sales and service to represent the department. System engineering experience in the field of hybrid or Power Train engineering A strong technical knowledge of key powertrain technologies (i.e. engine and transmission technologies) A sound technical knowledge of key vehicle systems and whole vehicle engineering Applicants must be qualified to degree level and computer literate Fluent in use of Microsoft Office packages, specifically Word, Exel, Power Point and Project.
